The state on August 25 began the administration of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at the 183 designated vaccination sites across the state.

Akin Abayomi, Lagos State Commissioner for Health, says 42 persons have died from COVID-19-related complications in the state between August 1 and 8.
The commissioner said that 260 strategic leaders in the state were inoculated, comprising 144 men and 116 women.
The commissioner also announced that the bed occupancy level in the state’s public and private COVID-19 care centres has reduced to 46 percent.
