Mr Ojelabi said weekday and Saturday train services would now commence at 6.00 a.m.
The company called on state agencies to halt the project immediately.
LAMATA hinged the increase on the rising cost of operations and the need to ensure that buses keep running and to guarantee passengers’ movement around Lagos.
The Lagos Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, said the diversion would integrate rail, bus, water and non–motorised transportation.
The Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) says the Blue Line rail resumed operations Sunday morning after Saturday’s fire incident
LAMATA disclosed in a statement on Monday that Mr Sanwo-Olu will conduct the flag-off of the second rail system for commercial operations.
The test run allowed participants to experience the red line.
Mr Osiyemi said the diversion would be between 12 midnight and 4:00 a.m. daily.
The statement urged those interested in filming or taking photographs for commercial purposes to seek approval.
“From June 3, fares on all regulated transport services in the state will return to the original 100 per cent,” LAMATA said on its official X handle.
