He urged motorists to obey traffic signs and follow directives from traffic officials.
Mr Osiyemi said the repairs would commence with the service lane, and scheduled to run for six weeks, starting from February 5 to March 19.
Assuring motorists of adequate traffic management during the rehabilitation work, the commissioner said that at no stage would the bridge be fully closed.
The commissioner said the repairs are part of the Lagos State government’s efforts to improve road quality and ease traffic flow.
Mr Osiyemi stated that the decision was made to prevent further accidents along the corridor.
He said the app would mark a significant milestone in the government’s efforts to transform Lagos.
He also called on road users to prioritise safety and strictly adhere to traffic regulations.
He added that the exercise was aimed to ensure smooth vehicular movement and ensure public order.
The enforcement drive took place in the Ikeja, Ogba, Billings Way, and Berger areas of the state.
The commissioner listed alternative routes mapped out for motorists to utilise.
