He, however, stressed the importance of proper financial planning and management during retirement.
He advised the retirees to be prudent with their money and carefully choose investment options.
Mr Sanwo-Olu said Lagos State had continued to be the leading light in the administration of pension benefits and generally in good credible governance.
“Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has been a consistent high flyer in the pension industry with over N40.5 billion paid to 10,862 retirees.”
The accrued pension benefits of about N1.3 billion is for the month of September.
