He said a preliminary investigation revealed that the truck driver allegedly lost control due to a brake failure and rammed into the victim.
He confirmed further that the exercise was carried out after several warnings to both private and commercial bus drivers.
“While these two (2) motorcycle passengers died instantly, the rider later died at a hospital around Satellites Town.”
In a press statement on the agency’s X, its spokesperson, Adebayo Taofiq, stated that the accident resulted from overspeeding.

The incident, which occurred late Thursday night, caused heavy traffic for motorists inward Lagos on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Friday morning.
While 11 officers were found guilty of corrupt practices, one officer was exonerated with the panel’s report.
A containerised truck was said to have lost control after it experienced a brake failure which made it fall on its side.
“It was not murder; it was an accident and was not deliberate, so he will be charged with manslaughter,” the spokesperson stated.
“LAWMA is working with security agencies to apprehend and prosecute the errant driver of the car, with vehicle number EPE 984 DV.”
