During the past two months, the monsoon season caused widespread destruction across Himachal Pradesh, the statement said.
A police spokesman said ten bodies have been recovered since the collapse in a remote area on Sunday.
“We recovered seven corpses today (Friday), making a total of 11,” West Region Governor Augustine Fonka Awa told Xinhua.
The report said 5,216 households were experiencing water shortages due to power outages and water pipe damage.
Another landslide occurred during a rescue operation on Monday.
India’s monsoon season runs from June to September and is a boon for farmers who depend on the rains it brings to irrigate their crops.
Officials said the victims were identified as a 55-year-old woman and her three daughters, aged 18, 16 and 11.
Mr Majaliwa, who disclosed Thursday, added that 236 had also been injured in the flood.
“We were unable to locate anyone, and it is said that around 12 people were there, but so far they have not been traced,’’ officials said.
Mr Umahi gave the directive while addressing people of the area, noting that the affected inhabitants would be resettled immediately.
