The police spokesperson said the suspect was arrested following a report lodged at Idiroko Divisional Headquarters.
Mr Oyeyemi quoted the suspects as saying that the victim’s legs and heart were sold for N30,000 and N50,000 respectively to the buyer, who, he said, was still at large.
The police said the suspects attacked the policeman to prevent an investigation into the cause of an accident.
The man was part of an armed robbery gang that robbed a POS operator of N400,000 and her phone, killed and injured another two persons.
The suspects are Ismaila Ibrahim, 21, Musa Muhammed, 26, Irekura Abu, 43, and Okanlawon Muhammed, 26.
The police on Wednesday engaged suspected kidnappers in a gun duel on the highway and eventually forced the hoodlums to run away.
