Ms Odutola said the CP went on an unscheduled security and safety tour to Ewekoro when he met a gridlock on the Lafarge dual carriageway.
Ms Odutola said that the police recovered one AK-47 rifle, 10 rounds of 5.6mm calibre ammunition, N5.2 million suspected to be proceeds of crime and three mobile phones
The police spokesperson said the victim was kidnapped at about 9:55 p.m. on Thursday while entering her home.
The Ogun command said it noticed an unprecedented rise in the number of missing persons across all age groups.
Mr Ogunlowo stated, “The suspects confessed to the crime and are part of an internet fraud syndicate preying on innocent citizens.’’
He said that the unit was armed with the skills and knowledge needed to counter the severe threats.
