The All-Share Index (ASI) dropped by 0.46 per cent to close at 50,489.73 points from 50,722.33 points recorded on Friday.
On the price movement chart, 34 stocks recorded price depreciation while 12 others constituted the gainers’ chart.
Eterna drove the laggards’ chart in percentage terms, shedding 9.03 per cent to close at N6.65 per share.
The All-Share Index dipped 16.94 points or 0.04 per cent to close at 39,505.40 from 39,522.34 on Friday.
A breakdown of the price movement chart showed that 20 stocks posted price gains, relative to 16 losers.
Market capitalisation lost N54 billion or 0.27 per cent to close at N20.089 trillion from N20.143 trillion achieved on Friday.
The market sentiment closed positive with 18 gainers against eight laggards.
Similarly, the All-Share Index lost 367.97 points or 0.92 per cent to close at 39,433.81 from 39,801.78 on Tuesday.
Profit taking on banking and consumer goods stocks induced the loss.
