Mr Giwa added that LASTMA removed 120 illegally parked private cars and commercial buses from bridges stretching from Ebute-Ero to Ejalonibu.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority said it rescued 1,075 lives from road crashes in 2024.

The crash involved a J5 Ford bus (FKJ 724 YC) and a Mercedes truck (FKJ 746 YC) at Ilubirin, inward Sura, along the Lagos Third Mainland Bridge.

Mr Bakare-Oki noted that both the truck driver and his assistant fled the scene.
