The governor said the beneficiaries were selected following recommendations by the Kaduna State advisory council on the prerogative of mercy after a review of eligible cases.
Mr Abubakar also prayed for comfort for Mr Nwosu’s family.
“Today, June 12, is being celebrated with the heroes of democracy dying in anguish penury.’’
The event is in remembrance of the annulment of the June 12, 1993 presidential poll.
Mr Tinubu said that June 12 was “about rule of law and vibrant judiciary that can be trusted to deliver justice and strengthen institutions.”
