According to the president, the federal government is addressing the challenge through a coordinated and multi-pronged strategy.
“The agreement allows about 100 Nigerians serving jail terms in Ethiopia to be transferred back to Nigeria to complete their sentences,” she said.
Mr Fagbemi, who signed the agreement, said the initiative was a transformative stride by the government to end cybercrimes in the country.
He urged the U.S. to continue demonstrating cooperation and understanding in other pending repatriation cases.
Mr Rafsanjani said CISLAC welcomed the president’s decision.

Mr Fagbemi said the present administration has a clear mandate of the people and can only be changed at the end of its tenure as prescribed by the constitution.
The former speaker also urged Mr Tinubu to initiate and transmit a one-item emergency executive bill to the National Assembly to enable INEC to conduct local government elections.
“Also, we hope there will be financial integrity at the local government levels, and all financial transactions will be tracked,” said the NULGE boss.
