Mr Fatodu stated that the athletes made Lagos proud and their success reaffirmed the importance of grass-roots sports development.
He described Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as a sports lover committed to ensuring facilities are completed and of the right standards.
Team Lagos came second on the medals table at the last NYG.
Mr Fatodu said that the highly competitive zonal elimination had been dominated by Team Lagos.
