Mr Akinade commended Governor Seyi Makinde’s government for supporting the conduct of local government council elections since 2021.
“Secondly, we can see that the process has been very peaceful. I am very happy with this.

“The governor has been keeping to the promise of conducting elections as at when due, and it is only in Enugu that we see such a thing,” Mr Akalusi pointed out.
“In the history of Ikeja Federal Constituency, no woman has been given an opportunity to become the council chairman.”
