NUPRC chief executive Gbenga Komolafe said this on Wednesday at the ongoing 24th Nigeria Oil and Gas Energy Week conference 2025.
The report said Algeria and Egypt, representing over 60 per cent of the regional market, were the primary drivers of this growth.
He suggested that policymakers, private sector players and investors must work together.
The growth was driven mainly by products of the chemical and allied industries, wood and articles of wood, wood charcoal among others.
Mr Madu suggested use of biogas from soakaways as a cheaper source of eco-friendly household fuel.
