The facilities were inaugurated by the Minister for Livestock Development, Idi Maiha, in Zaria.
He said Nigeria faces ongoing challenges with several priority livestock diseases.
Ms Madaki explained that L-PRES was a six-year World Bank-supported project, jointly funded by the bank, the state, and benefiting communities.
The hospital will be located within the newly established 184-hectare Agro-Livestock Development Zone in Gombe.
“Agriculture is our hope in the North, and for a while, we saw a lot of delay in implementation of some of these programmes, and so we had to call a meeting.”
