The new commander took over from Maj. Gen. Gold Chibusi at the headquarters of the MNJTF in N’djamena, Chad Republic.
The COAS thanked the officers and soldiers for their tremendous efforts in tackling the nation’s numerous security challenges.
The commander described the policy as a positive step, adding that it has mitigated terrorists’ activities since its inception.
“As you are all aware, the security challenges we face today are both real and daunting and therefore require renewed vigour by commanders at all levels,” said the army.
The Plateau governor said “it is not enough to blame leaders alone without corresponding responsibility”.
The commander said the OPSH adopted non-kinetic strategies to eradicate violent tendencies that could lead to chaos in society.
“This is to enable the people to retake their lands, especially as we are approaching a new farming season.”
