On Monday, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) received a batch of 144 stranded Nigerians from Niamey in Niger Republic.
The fire trucks will be stationed at the Abuja, Kano and Lagos airports.
Mr Abdullahi urged the returnees to learn from their experiences, be law-abiding and avoid illegal migration.
“We will be physically present at collection centres to prevent tampering with results from the local government level to the state.”
The EFCC said it was committed towards ensuring credible and transparent elections in Kano, Katsina and Jigawa.
The returnees were made up of 24 male adults, 23 female adults and 58 children.
