A resident said the assailants stormed the estate at about 11:00 p.m. and immediately began to shoot into the air.
Mr Mu’azu explained that the development followed a security council meeting on Tuesday.
“The order affects LGs fully affected by banditry and other related crimes,” Mr Mu’azu said.
The Chief of Army Staff, Faruk Yahaya, has appealed to Katsina residents to provide security agencies with credible information to fight bandits and other criminals.
