The deal will see Ratcliffe, through his petrochemical company, INEOS, takeover the footballing control of Manchester United.
“I just wanted to send this farewell message to all Manchester United supporters,” the 32-year-old posted on Instagram on Saturday.

United confirmed Ronaldo’s absence on their official website, saying, “Family is more important than everything”.
