The police command in Plateau has killed a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle in Gindri, Mangu LGA.
The organisation said the frequent killings across Nigeria have left people feeling increasingly unsafe.
Over 1,300 people, including children and women, were killed in three months under President Bola Tinubu, Amnesty International said.

The federal government has donated food items, drugs, and agricultural inputs to IDPs in Mangu LGA of Plateau.
Troops also recovered one revolver pistol, and two locally fabricated guns concealed by the suspect.
The ex-vice-president condemned the security agencies’ “lack of anticipation and preventive measures.”
“We are going to fight. We are not going to stop, and that is what I said,” he said.
The Plateau government has established a Security and Information Centre (SIC) to provide the residents access to report security developments in their location.
