The Federal Capital Territory’s Nigerian Union of Teachers on Wednesday, resumed industrial action over unresolved welfare issues.
Mr Sule said that discussion with the chairmen of the area councils was ongoing to resolve the issues.
Ms Jethro said the strike, suspended with effect from Monday, followed the intervention of Mr Wike to settle part of the minimum wage arrears.
The union advised parents to keep their children and wards in primary schools safe at home.
“When I heard that the primary section did not resume on Monday, I had to call the chairman of the ALGON and the NUT chairman.”
