The commander reiterated the command’s zero tolerance for drug-related crimes.
Mr Marwa was reappointed by President Bola Tinubu for a second tenure of five years on Friday.
The NDLEA boss commended the officers and men of the Nigerian Armed Forces for their contributions to tackling banditry in the North-West.
“In West Africa, and specifically in Nigeria, drug trafficking and abuse are often seen as complex issues with deep-rooted social and economic factors,” said Mr Marwa.
The former Lagos military administrator condoles with those who lost their lives, saying he hopes Nigeria learns from the tragedy.
