Mr Pheelangwah said that veterans represent a valuable national asset, and that timely and accurate pension administration is a moral obligation and a national responsibility.
According to him, Mr Abdulraheem brings with him an impressive record of professional excellence.
Mr Irumheson said the board had previously carried out physical verification of pensioners in designated locations across the country.
Mr Irumheson took over from Rear Adm. Sabiru Lawal, whose tenure came to an end recently.
“It has…come to the notice of the board that bank accounts of some of our esteemed pensioners are yet to be credited with their entitlements.”
On Thursday, the Military Pensions Board began the payment of Security Debarment Allowance to eligible military retirees and next-of-kins of deceased pensioners.
“Our esteemed military retirees are please urged to remain calm and patient,” said the Military Pensions Board.
