Mr Hassan added that the bandits abandoned five victims they had already kidnapped in the gun duel that ensued.
Mr Oya said the body was recovered around Boi, along Pankshin – Bauchi Road in Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
He called for a concerted effort from the government, international community and citizens to curb the menace.
He said the troops made contacts with the criminal elements and neutralised several, rescued hostages and recovered weapons.
