He called for a national strategy to create more viable opportunities within Nigeria’s mining sector.
The governor further stated that the executive order took effect from Friday, February 21.
The MAN national president urged the government to invest more in improving the human and logistic capacities of the regulatory bodies.
Mr Alia gave the directive when he met with the Miners Association of Nigeria, Benue Chapter members in Makurdi.
The Miners Association of Nigeria has called for streamlining all legal and regulatory frameworks that will accelerate the growth of the mineral sector.
They said “local miners have this fear of exploration because of the heavy and tedious process of registration and multiple taxation.”
