The Federal Polytechnic, Ekowe, Bayelsa, has resumed academic activities after months of lingering labour disputes that resulted in the institution being shut down.

The unions said that only the suspension, pending investigation of the Rector, Dr Agbabiaka Lukman, would guarantee industrial harmony in the institution.
The chairmen and secretaries of the three unions at the polytechnic, along with the rector and the governing council chairs, are expected to attend the meeting.
