Nigeria was invited to the emergency joint Arab-Islamic summit in the Saudi capital Riyadh to discuss the war in the Gaza Strip.Â
Presidential spokesperson, Mr Ajuri Ngelale, said that discussions at the summit would include addressing regional security threats among others.
He said the programme would train two million young people.
According to the presidency, Mr Shettima t is expected to avail Nigeria of the platform provided by the forum to woo investors.
The minister said the incident saddened him and is exploring ways to always ensure Nigerian athletes are treated with dignity.
The envoy spoke against the backdrop of succession of military coups unfolding across Africa, with the recent being in Gabon.
“Ambassadors as representatives of the country serve at the behest of the President and it’s his prerogative to send or recall them from any country,” it added.
Mr Gbajabiamila said the recent crisis in Sudan had entrapped many Nigerians resident in that country.
On Wednesday, Mr Buhari’s regime claimed it spent $1.2 million to deploy vehicles to evacuate the Nigerian citizens currently stranded in Sudan.
