Nigeria has won the bid to host the World Public Relations Forum, says the president of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Ike Neliaku.
Mr Idris assured that President Bola Tinubu’s administration would sustain the momentum of economic improvement by prioritising people-centred policies.
The minister noted that criminal groups use the media to spread fear, disinformation and recruit followers.
He said NECA had, for years, urged the government to prioritise buying goods made in Nigeria to support local industries.
The NOA boss called for capacity building of defence journalists to be able to work with high ethical standards.
Mr Idris said it was only fair for other countries to reciprocate Nigeria’s gesture in providing an enabling environment for foreign companies to invest and operate.
Mr Idris stressed the importance of responsibility in the exercise of press freedom.
Mr Idris emphasised that the nation’s tax administration system was long overdue for reforms on account of design and implementation flows.
The minister assured that the economy would be stable, adding that no government would want backwardness in its administration.
