Ofili was denied the opportunity to compete in the women’s 100m at the Olympics in spite of qualifying for the event.

Mr Enoh expressed confidence in the athletes and their potential to achieve greatness.

Mr Nezianya”said that the NOC was focused on the quest for gold medals for now because it’s the ultimate.
”The budget is divided into two parts: N9 billion for the Olympics, while over N3 billion has been earmarked for the Paralympics,” the sports minister said.
He said that the athletes have benefited from high calibre coaching and technical support ahead of the games.
“The transmission of the Anti-doping Bill 2024 to the National Assembly and the accelerated passage of same remains a landmark achievement of this administration,” said Mr Enoh.
Eighty-eight athletes from Nigeria have qualified for the Olympic Games; others are still in the qualification process before the closing windows.
The 52-year-old spent 20 months as assistant to Portuguese José Peseiro from the summer of 2022.
