The minister described the violations of basic rules, such as traffic light violations as disheartening.

The minister said that the commitment was part of efforts to keep people’s hopes alive.
The order was in response to the request by the council’s chairman, Abubakar Giri, who pleaded for the additional divisions to improve security.
Mr Wike commended Abuja residents for their support, assuring them that all promises made would be fulfilled.

He added that efforts were being made to ensure adherence to the rule of law with a view to attract investors.
He added that owners of the properties have been informed and given notices to revert to the original land uses but have yet to comply.
The NCS was among agencies, organisations and individuals whose plots were revoked by the FCTA for failure to develop their lands.
The minister said the 30-kilometre roads, five in each of the six area councils, would be completed before May 29, 2024.
The minister said the mandate secretary for women’s affairs would likely be inaugurated on Monday.
