The Poultry Association of Nigeria has called for continuous federal government support through grain intervention in 2024.
He said that the association was concerned over the threat to food security in the country.
The farmers also called on the new administration to continue with the national school feeding project to boost the sector.
Mr Iyiola said it was essential to sensitise farmers and consumers on the adverse effects of antibiotics on poultry and human beings.
Poultry farmers in Lagos have decried the egg glut in the market and appealed to the government to mop up the produce.
