Staff of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has begun an indefinite nationwide strike.
NAFDAC affirmed its commitment to strict enforcement and continuous surveillance to protect public health.
“As a regulatory agency, we are supposed to have 12,000 staff but we are barely 2,000 in a country of more than 230 million,” said NAFDAC boss.
“No offender will be spared from facing the full wrath of the law,” Mrs Adeyeye said.
Moji Adeyeye’s re-appointment by the president as DG of the agency is for a second tenure of five years.
The product is said to contain 70 per cent alpha hydroxy acid, which can cause mild skin irritation, redness, swelling, itching, and skin discolouration.
Alcohol is also a toxic and psychoactive substance with dependence producing properties.
