He also condemned his friends for campaigning ahead of the 2027 elections rather than holding the government to account.
“They should give us peace of mind. Otherwise, we will not participate in the forthcoming elections,” Mrs Olowookere, an Ibadan resident, said.
The group stated this during a demonstration, with placards-carrying protesters gathered under the bridge at Mokola Roundabout, Ibadan.
“Tinubu is thief! Tinubu is thief!” the protesters hurled their opprobrium toward the president in a video posted on X.
Scores of federal workers in Ibadan on Wednesday shunned the directive by organised labour to boycott work to protest against President Bola Tinubu’s economic policies.
Commenting, Mr Popoola said the residents were fond of disobeying traffic laws.
The situation forced some commuters to trek long distances to their respective destinations, while those who could not simply returned home.
