The FRSC boss warned against overloading, speeding, night journey, reckless driving, fatigue, use of bad wipers, mechanical deficient vehicles and use of expired tyres by motorists.
“The experience of our officers at this junction on Friday and Saturday was very bitter. Because of the bad state of the road.”
The gridlock was along the Obajana portion of the Kabba-Lokoja-Abuja Road that hosts Dangote Cement factory.
The agency said it hoped to “drastically reduce the carnage and wanton loss of lives along our highways and equally ensure free flow of traffic.”
