The judge directed the deposed emirs to return all emirates’ traditional artefacts belonging to the Kano State government and the current emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II.
Mr Yusuf said, “Sanusi is a victim of the immediate past administration, who is now being restored to his rightful position to lead the people.”
The former CBN governor and dethroned Kano emir said his successor had given him the assurance personally.
Mr Sanusi, after his banishment from Kano, was confined to Awe town in Nasarawa State.
The former emir said Islam was against Nigerian Muslims abusing or cursing their leaders.
