The NDLEA said the drugs were concealed in peels of plantain, which appeared as real plantains and were packed among other food items.
Mr Babafemi said the suspect was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos while en route to Beijing, China.
The commissioner described MMIA as Nigeria’s most important point of entry.
The committee members meet regularly to deliberate on airport safety concerns and recommend solutions.
Mr Agbebire said the suspects were apprehended at about 6.00 p.m. on Monday.
A statement by the NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babafemi, on Sunday said the consignment was concealed in the heads of imported dry stockfish.
Mr Ganduje seized the opportunity to see the remodelling of the airport and the temporary terminal.
NDLEA officers on February 13, raided a four-bedroom duplex at 2 Alexandria Terrace, Ikate-Elegushi, Lekki, used for the production and storage of Colorado, a synthetic cannabis.
He added that nine scheduled flights assigned to the aircraft for the day were affected.
