“The president has taken wide and courageous decisions but it may not be very clear to the citizens,” stated Mr Umahi.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, the cleric stated that the protests were to make the Muslim-Muslim ticket look bad.
Mr Gumi, an advocate for bandits, said Mr Tinubu deceived northerners with a Muslim-Muslim ticket to win the February 25 election.
“Till today, I will not do Muslim-Muslim ticket. I don’t have to be president because I don’t believe it is right for this country.”
“This quest is not for or about Atiku Abubakar, it’s a quest for the enthronement of truth, morality, justice, and accountability in our public affairs.”
Mr El-Rufai said the enthronement of Tinubu-Shettima was a repeat of the Abiola-Kingibe feat.
“He or she (running for the Senate president) must come from the South and be a Christian so that the noise about Muslim-Muslim tickets must be nipped in the bud.”
In an attempt to defend his principal off the audio leak, Mr Obienyem said the audio conversation was “badly doctored”.
He noted that they were disturbed by the negative signals from some political parties that had decided to create a political gimmick called the “Muslim-Muslim” ticket.
“This is the time for us to rise up in faith and not time to mourn. The church must be prayerful and cautious and have to think from the inside,” the governor said.
