The naira depreciated by 5.75 per cent when compared with N664.04 for which it exchanged for the dollar on Wednesday.
The naira showed a 0.64 per cent decrease when compared with N469.50 it exchanged for the dollar on Thursday.
Mr Abdulmumin said that the apex bank was committed to supplying the “approved indent” for the smooth running of the economy.
The naira on Wednesday exchanged at N461.60 to the dollar at the Investors and Exporters window.
