The country’s annual inflation increased from 23.6 per cent in April to 27.6 per cent, the fastest rate since January 2004.
The president said the court’s efforts were being constrained by the poor rate of enforcement, at 30 per cent.
Leaders of the West African bloc want the trend contained, fearing a negative impact capable of devastating other countries of the region.
The meeting is expected to deliberate on sub-regional and continental matters including reports on political crises in Mali and Guinea Conakry.

The authority reached the decision at the end of its February 2 virtual session chaired by the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo.
Ghana is enforcing a law that restricts foreign investment in small businesses
