The agency said the recall was due to the presence of undeclared allergens, specifically milk and eggs.
It urged all distributors, retailers, healthcare professionals and caregivers to exercise caution.
The committee chairman also claimed that the NAFDAC boss’s action suggested insensitivity to the plights of Nigerians.
The general manager said that the agency did not intend to witch-hunt any business or entrepreneur with genuine intentions.
NAFDAC says noodles produced in the country did not contain ethylene oxide or its metabolism.
“Today in Nigeria and across the world, both natural and orthodox medicines are being practised concurrently,” the NNMDA boss explained.
“Our investigations will reveal the source of the products and their country of manufacture because all of them are imported, not manufactured locally in Nigeria.”
Hundreds of people in the state had, in March, suffered from food poisoning due to consumption of contaminated food.
