Ms Tarfa-Ugbe emphasised that the criminal justice system remained a central pillar in addressing human trafficking.
“The reviewed tools were pilot-tested during a training of trainers held in Abuja from July 1 to July 5,” said the NAPTIP chief.

Mr Aganran said that the offence contravened Section 27 of the Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act, 2015.
“Out of the 51 victims, two are from Niger Republic, while others were from Kano, Katsina, Yobe and Jigawa states,” he said.
Mr Salihu decried the rate at which parents abdicate the responsibilities of raising their children.
The agency also carried out sensitisation programmes in conjunction with the government for religious and traditional leaders.
