Ms Oluga stated, “It is alarming and heartbreaking to see our girls, some as young as 13, forced into adulthood through pregnancy.’’
The visit, led by its top officials, marked its first official engagement with any state assembly service commission in the North-West.
The RMAFC boss said information about salary increase for political office holders was not true, adding that their salaries were last reviewed in 2007.
Mr Lawan spoke on Thursday when he received the 2020 to 2022 annual reports of the National Assembly Service Commission in Abuja.
Alban Bagbin, the Speaker of the Parliament of Ghana, who led the team said the visit is to strengthen Ghana’s legislative institute.
The top legislator called for a debate on the relevance of the National Assembly rather than funding.
