He said Mr Tinubu has ordered the deployment of a battalion of the Nigeria army to Kaiama.

“This impact is especially on the most vulnerable persons living in communities at risk of flooding,” she said.
The Ekiti government has commended the federal government for restructuring the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
She pointed out that NEMA had moved from a reactionary to proactive disaster and emergency management agency.
The integrated villages are to resettle 20,000 Nigerian refugees from neighbouring Chad, Cameroon, and Niger Republic.
