The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed the death of one person in Friday’s flood incident in Ondo town, Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State
The NEMA boss said the complexity of emergencies requires collaboration across different departments and external partners.
Mr Oyebanji gave the warning on Sunday in Ado-Ekiti while inspecting some sections of the capital city and suburbs ravaged by flood on Saturday.
“As a close friend of Nigeria, Israel seeks to provide aid to those who need it the most,” Mr Freeman said.
He, therefore, called for urgent support to the affected farmers.
NEMA said no fewer than 2,000 people had been rendered homeless.
He commended the Benue state government for ensuring the fair and transparent distribution of the materials.
