The director-general also urged Nigerians to respect environmental laws and regulations in the country.
The director-general of NESREA, Innocent Barikor, said the measure followed complaints from residents and the refusal of the facility.
NESREA has attributed the toxic emission in the Kapam community of Chikun LGA of Kaduna to ruptured pipes.
“I encourage Nigerians to be true environmental vanguards by obeying the laws and reporting any environmental violations,” Mr Barikor said.
Ms Ejiofor said its code of conduct will further improve efforts at tackling wildlife trafficking in the country.
The stakeholders stated this at the regional lead awareness workshop on Thursday in Abuja.
FRIN director-general Zacharia Buba-Yaduma said plastic pollution had become a major environmental problem requiring immediate attention and action.
NESREA has sealed a Kano-based company for violation of environmental laws.
The NESREA boss said the effort was to make the offenders serve as a deterrent to others and also incorporate emerging environmental issues.
The industries had failed to comply with standard rules despite several warnings by the authorities.
