Mr Amupitan reaffirmed the commission’s resolve to combat vote-buying during the election.
Mr Yakubu urged political parties in the state to maintain decorum and civility in their campaigns and comply with the commission’s regulations.
“To achieve this, the church and her theologians have a role to play,” Atta Barkindo said.
INEC is worried that violence by political parties and their supporters could further complicate the security situation in the country.
He said that as the president, he has always reiterated his commitment to a peaceful, credible and transparent election.
“It is deliberate mischief because there is no way a public affairs analyst like him would not know that no administration has done more than the current one in 20 years.”
