National legal adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party says powers to remove the party’s NWC or any national officer reside only in the party’s national convention.
The PDP national chairman says he will not resign.
Mr Nwoye said the decision has turned the process into a mockery of democracy, adding that those excluded were the engine room of the party.
The party said the decision was reached after a reconciliatory meeting with concerned party operatives from the South-West.
The PDP is facing a leadership crisis in the South-West over the party’s authentic leader in the zone.
The panel includes seven members.
