Former national security officials warned on Tuesday that Australia is unprepared for the cascading and existential impacts of climate change.
A total of 1,057 natural disasters hit Vietnam in 2022, leaving 175 persons dead and missing, local media cited the Vietnam Disaster Management Authority as reported on Wednesday.
Mr Obi, conveyed his condolences via tweets on Sunday, saying that he received the reports with sadness.
A total of 16,625 houses were damaged by the disasters, and 1,620 farmlands submerged in Kafur, Danja and Ingawa LGAs.
“But the avoided disruptions would save an estimated $4.2 trillion over the useful life of new infrastructure,” said the World Bank climate director.
