NSC’s executive secretary, Pius Akutah, made the appeal on Thursday when a delegation from the western naval command paid a courtesy visit to the council’s headquarters in Lagos.
He said the command had significantly reduced crude oil theft, pipeline vandalism, and other forms of criminality in its area of coverage.
The spokesperson said two men on the motorcycle in mufti, who claimed to be naval officers, resisted arrest and attacked the police officers.
The navy said recently, personnel of the navy ship arrested eight persons with 30,000 litres of suspected stolen crude oil.
The graduates comprise 17 Naval officers, two Air Force officers, two Army officers and one Cameroonian Navy officer.
